Join us for an exciting speakeasy featuring local award-winning KC distillery, West Bottoms! Many of you are familiar with their classic Kansas City-style whiskey, but have you tried their Convergence Whiskey? A delicious blend of rye (the American choice of whiskey) & malt whiskeys (brought by Scottish settlers in the 1700s) blended directly into wine casks for a distinct and luscious finish, this convergence of old world tradition with new world agriculture helped define whiskeys as we know them today.
Give a warm welcome to founder and master distiller, Alex Lindsey, as he walks us through a deconstructed tasting of West Bottoms’ Convergence Whiskey where you will taste the individual rye and single malt components, the blend, and the comparison of the unfinished vs. finished versions of the whiskey. Educational, fun, and supporting local—this night is one you won’t want to miss!
